Description
This strain comes as a result of crossing Carmen with the breeder ’s best-known variety, Sugar Black Rose. It has low THC levels and high CBD levels and is named after its intensely strong mandarin flavour and aroma.
Details
The Delicious Seeds team has been researching and developing strains with high CBD levels for the last couple of years in order to meet the needs of medicinal growers. It all started three years ago when the breeders got their hands on a clone of a plant called Carmen, which, although it wasn’t very potent, had a magnificent mandarin flavour.
After cloning, the plant was regrown and analysed, at which point it was discovered that it tested at 8.5% THC and 12.5% CBD. At this point, the breeders set themselves the challenge of crossing all their best strains with Carmen, and the first big success in this project is Deep Mandarin.
In to create Delicious Seeds Deep Mandarin feminised cannabis seeds, Carmen was crossed with Sugar Black Rose –the breeders’ best-known strain worldwide. The resulting plant appears to be totally identical to Sugar Black Rose but with such a profound mandarin taste that it pretty much named itself! What’s more, the strain's remarkable mandarin taste and smell indicate a high level of medicinally-beneficial terpenes. Analyses conducted so far have given ratios of between 1/1 and 1/3 while some plants tested at 4% THC to 15% CBD.
